Charge Distributions According to the Cluster Model of Nuclear Fission

چکیده
The cluster model of nuclear fission makes definite predictions about the charge distributions. The assumptions made in the computation of mass distributions have to be supplemented by the postulate of statistical sharing of the surplus protons and neutrons between light and heavy cluster. Given the mass distributions, the charge distributions are completely determined by statistical considerations. The calculated average charge (Zp) as a function of fragment mass number Ap for thermal neutron induced fission of U235 agrees rather well with the radiochemical results and some recent mass spectroscopic measurements. The shape of the charge distribution around (Zp) depends on Ap , and is in fair agreement with the available data.

FISSION FRAGMENT ANGULAR ANISOTROPIES AND INERTIA PARAMETERS
An analysis of selected fission fragment angular distributions from helium-ion induced fission is made using an exact theoretical expression. Theoretical anisotropies obtained with the transition state model are compared with their corresponding values deduced from the statistical scission model. The nuclear moment of inertia extracted from the model calculations are compared with their est...
متن کاملتوزیع بار الکتریکی محصولات شکافت حاصل از واکنش شکافت اورانیم 238 با پروتونهای 45-69 MeV
Fission of 238U nuclei was performed by 45-69 MeV protons at the Cyclotron and Radioisotope Center of Tohoku University in Japan. The fission products originated in the reaction were identified by using gamma spectroscopy. The experimental data show that the charge distribution of isobar fission products follows a Gaussian distribution with a standard deviation independent of the selected mass...
متن کاملModeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions
By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
متن کاملA genetic algorithm-based approach for numerical solution of droplet status after Coulomb fission using the energy
As a droplet moves, due to evaporation at the surface, the droplet size is gradually reduced. Due to decreasing the size of the droplets moving in the spray core, the surface charges become closer and the repulsive force between the charges increases. When the Coulombic force overcomes the surface tension force (Rayleigh instability) the droplet breaks into smaller droplets (Coulomb fission). T...
متن کاملEnergy-mass Distributions in Induced Fission
Introduction. Recently Nix and Swiatecki have been able to expand the liquid drop theory of nuclear fission to consider dynamics as well as statics of charged liquid drops [1]. By solving the equations of motion for a fissioning system, and combining the results with the assumption of statistical equilibrium at the saddle, they have been able to calculate a bivariate distribution for the fissio...
